Michael Southard founded Elvisridge Capital in 2018.  His background includes more than 10 years in corporate finance with GE Capital, where he served as a Portfolio Manager and Business Development Officer.  He also co-owned a small blow molding business that achieved fivefold sales growth in three years before being successfully sold.

Michael’s experience also includes more than 24 years helping build a contractor-driven consumer products company into one of the leading landscape lighting businesses in North America.  During the final two years of his tenure, he led the company’s international sales efforts.  The business was sold to a Fortune 500 company in 2018, and as a shareholder and executive, Michael was involved in all aspects of the transaction, including the selection and management of the M&A team that led the successful exit.

Through Elvisridge Capital, Michael continues to leverage his experience in finance, operations, business development, and strategic growth to build and invest in market-leading businesses.

Michael is an alumnus of the University of Tampa, where he previously served on the Board of Trustees and remains actively involved philanthropically.  He is also engaged in charitable initiatives through Crofton Cares, a family foundation dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and improving access to healthcare in underserved communities.
